My Hope India Campaign
Since last fall, Eric has been privileged to forge ministry alliances between colleagues in India, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Ministries, 61,000 national churches and others committed to ministering to the now 3.6 million who responded to the evangelistic television broadcasts.
Eric traveled to India earlier this year to train 2000 + “master trainers” who will now equip 750,000 families with evangelism and discipleship tools to open their homes to unsaved friends and family.
One man went into a village and
simply hung a “My Hope India” banner (the broadcast’s theme) and 1,000 people came to his meeting!
In June we sent to India a 31 Day Prayer Book Eric recently wrote entitled “Unleash His Spirit.” As part of our ongoing partnership in this India-wide evangelistic effort, we were invited to prepare this resource as both a personal devotional and a house church training tool. We are privileged to serve new believers in India as this tool is distributed in the coming weeks to more than 600,000 churches, Christian leaders and “Matthew Groups” (home groups for new believers). Please pray this devotional and training tool yields much fruit and strengthens the believers in India.
A Miracle Unfolds in the Arab World
The daily reports you and I receive from various news channels tell of one catastrophe after another in the Middle East. But they rarely, if ever, mention the miraculous work that God is doing in these war-torn nations. We have received numerous reports that in the last several years, amidst incredible hardship and crisis, more than one million Arab Muslims have chosen to follow Jesus Christ!
To hear the real story behind the scenes and to provide a greater
opportunity for others to partner with Arab believers on the ground, RUN recently hosted Arab Christian leaders for a Middle East Summit. We also invited ministry representatives from
a large Christian foundation, from mega-church ministries, humanitarian organizations and Christian media who met to pursue linking arms and resources for Arab World evangelism.
Please pray for God to bring together the right team to partner with our Arab brothers in reaching the Middle East with the Good News.
Simple Business Model Reaps Kingdom Results
We praise God for measurable “fruit” from RUN’s business training and mentoring efforts among Muslim background believers. Aspiring small business owners receive the tools necessary to build viable businesses, making the marketplace their place of ministry to start churches. Their jobs provide means to feed their families and enable them to impact others as they model biblical principles. They have become salt and light in the midst of a corrupt system. Here are several recent updates.
- Our Central Asian pilot project now has 17 self-sustaining businesses that are multiplying churches and, for the first time ever, bringing Kingdom credibility to their Muslim villages.
- 50 former Muslims from Eastern Europe have been similarly trained and are being deployed into Asia
- this year.
- 100 Indonesians will be trained in the coming months as Kingdom business missionaries and will move quietly into tsunami-impacted regions to begin their work.
- Our first Kingdom business is ramping up in Afghanistan , where leaders in the business are trained disciplers/church planters.
- A wholesale business is in the works for believers in an Arab country. This business will serve as a pilot for Arab Muslim background believers coming to our training this July, with plans to have additional new businesses added before the end of the year.
Word is getting out among Christians living in Muslim nations that there is an alternative to traditional missions and tentmaking. Please pray that God would raise up financial partners to help fund the training and capitalization of these Kingdom businesses.
