GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR JEWISH FAMILIES
Pentecost Sunday - Jun 8, 2025

The Global Day of Prayer for Jewish Families is the third of the Four Global Days of Prayer to occur annually, uniting believers from across the world to intercede for the 110 Cities and millions of Jewish families who have yet to encounter Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of the living God. This initiative aligns with Pentecost (Shavuot), a celebration of the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai. It offers a powerful opportunity to pray for Jewish hearts to recognize Yeshua as the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, opening them to His truth during this spiritually meaningful time.
Why Pray for Jewish Families?
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and the Middle East: Scripture urges us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the city where Jesus will return to establish His reign, and they will look on him whom they have pierced. Amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East, we see these events within God’s prophetic timeline. As we pray for peace, we also pray for the coming of the Prince of Peace.
God’s Covenant People: The Jewish people were chosen by God through His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, a promise that their descendants would be set apart and blessed. This covenant, reaffirmed through Moses with the giving of the Law, established Israel as God’s people. Their persecution throughout history—from ancient exiles and Roman oppression to medieval pogroms and the Holocaust—reflects both their chosen status and the spiritual opposition against them. Despite relentless suffering, their survival is a powerful testament to God’s enduring covenant and His promise to preserve them.
Inclusion in Greater Glory: Paul reminds us that Israel’s restoration will bring “life from the dead” for the world. As they come to recognize Yeshua, it will usher in a greater outpouring of God’s glory and the fulfillment of His ultimate redemptive plan.
